Greetings, Stardust.
Welcome to my author’s profile. I have been involved in creative works all my life, and I’m excited about venturing into the brave new world of novelIng. My writing project is a science fantasy series, telling the stories of celestials, demons, and other extra dimensional beings across the greater multiverse. The books will feature character illustrations and a few fully detailed ink works. As Alice said in her Wonderland book, “what’s the use of a book without pictures or conversations?” While I have enjoyed my fair share of unillustrated masterpieces, I have to agree that pictures are always a welcomed treat, and I love treating my readers. I’ve finished drafting several books, and I’m working at light speed to get the rest down so I can edit them all more effectively. Thank you for dropping in to take a peek at my craft. I look forward to the day I can place my finished work in your hands.
~We are all made of stardust. We are remarkable. We were born to shine.
My Story
My writing journey started out as so many things do: with children at play. At first, it was me, with my brother and friends, swinging sticks, running around, and making mud pies. We pretended to be our favorite characters, and made up stories about them. Over time, stories became more elaborate, and characters more original, until imaginary games evolved into interactive storytelling. In my early twenties, it evolved again, into ‘game time’ during ‘walking time’ as a kind of hybrid role play fitness routine for my brother and me. Of course, as often happens in life, we eventually drifted apart, but the stories stayed with me.
For a long time, I thought turning my tales into literature was nothing more than a dream. Then 2020 happened, and between facing the global crisis, staring the reality of our mortality in the face repeatedly, and seeing, through social networking, that people love my storytelling, I realized something. If I were a character in one of my books, this would be my ah-hah! Moment. Life is too short to let your dreams sit forever trapped in the back of the mind, and the only thing holding me back from making them real was me telling myself I couldn't do it. So now, here I am, writing my heart out, and loving it.
Join me, and let us craft dreams into reality together.

Style and Inspiration
Books have always been a passion for me. Being dyslexic made learning to read a challenge, but my love for the written word drove me onward, undeterred. The first book I fell in love with was a poetry book with each poem written from the perspective of cats, and I still have it to this day, with my first two dollar bill bookmarking my favorite poem.
“All hail, thou unidentified flying object!” the feline says to the floating paper bag.
One treasured book quickly morphed into a collection, when I discovered anthologies written for young readers. Soon enough, I didn’t have enough shelf space to store my collection, so my mother had a friend come in and build a wall to wall bookshelf for me. I’ve been filling bookshelves ever since.
The stories that catch my interest most challenge preconceptions, and turn standard ideologies on their head. The monsters are not always monstrous, villains may not be so bad, heroism is defined by making hard choices, light and dark interweave, and morality is not always black and white. I love antiheroes, antagonists we can relate to, and heroes who don’t always make the right choices. Above all else, this is what reflects most in my writing.
I dabble heavily into the psychology of a character, and thoroughly explore the sociological structures of the worlds I build. And with an entire multiverse slow cooking in my head, I am building a lot of worlds, featuring everything from urban fantasy to cyberpunk. Think ‘Sandman’ by Niel Gaiman, and ‘Altered Carbon’ by Richard Morgan. Maybe splash just a dash of ‘Sherlock Holmes’ from Arthur Conan Doyle, and a pinch of ‘The Witcher’ books by Andrzej Sapkowski, then dress them up with a bit of theoretical physics, and you’ll have a good sense of where my creative mind lives.
I truly am standing on the shoulders of giants, sometimes literal, seeing as mythology plays a big part in my literature. Fun fact: did you know the “giants” of Norse mythology weren’t necessarily giant? True story. I found this out, as you might expect: with my nose in a book. A book which is, right now, calling my name. So without further adieu, I bid you happy tidings. Until next time, Stardust.
